AFA Safety, Health and Security Committee Seeks Radiation Study Volunteers

AFA International Safety, Health and Security has been conducting a study of radiation exposure for flight attendants working trips to Tokyo, Japan (NRT). We are pleased to announce that Continental AFA is being included in this study.  We are in need of ten participants, five each from Newark-NTA and Houston-HTA, who consistently fly these routes and are willing to carry a small piece of radiation monitoring equipment, known as a dosimeter in their tote bags. Participants must have access to a computer so that they can periodically send collected data stored on a flash drive to the AFA International offices in Washington DC. The MEC Safety, Health and Security Committee Chairperson, Thomas McAleney is the project coordinator for this volunteer group. Please contact Thomas McAleney at safety@calafa.org or any of your local council representatives for further information and to express your interest in volunteering.
