While you must obtain an Activation Code from your Ballot Packet or the Ballot Hotline, all instructions are contained on the AFA-CWA Election Website (www.afacwa.org/elections). Below are some of these instructions.
16-DIGIT ACTIVATION CODE
Each ballot packet contains a 16-digit code, which allows you to obtain your voting credentials (VIN & PIN). If lost, or for any reason you need a replacement, a replacement activation code is only good for 36 hours from the time it was generated.
If you do use a replacement activation code, it can be entered either of two ways:
Via the telephone: 1-877-232-8683
- Prompt 1 on the telephone is used if you already have your VIN & PIN
- Prompt 2 is used if entering your 16-digit activation code
Via the internet https://www.ballotpoint.com/afa
- If you have your VIN & PIN you may enter them as shown below
- If you must use your 16-digit activation code click “ACTIVATE MY ACCOUNT” enter the code and follow the directions
VIN & PIN
If you retained your VIN and PIN from a previous ballot you may use these to cast your vote. These credentials are only known by you and no one else – even at AFA International. If you misplaced your credentials, use the 16-digit activation code to obtain new ones.
New Ballot Packets will NOT be mailed, copies of the Voting Notice and Instructions can be found on the AFA-CWA Election Website http://www.afacwa.org/elections
Only active members in good standing may vote. We must have a membership application on file and your dues must be current.
